Carl asked: "How does one go about establishing a studio website, and (most importantly) is it costly?"
Carl, it doesn't have to be expensive to set up a studio website, but it does take some work and maintenance on your part to keep costs down. You might check out http://www.scaredofthat.com/ppwebsite/sgarticle1.html, it's an introductory article about creating a Personal/Professional website (linked to an example site), that could easily be adapted for studio use. Some teachers maintain a separate studio website, while others like myself have our studio information within our Personal/Professional website.
To find other examples, go to http://www.google.com/ and search for voice studio. You'll find lots of websites; if you make a list of the things you like in them, you'll be on your way to deciding what to include at your own site.
If you'd like some information about free web resources, write me privately and I'll be happy to send you what I have on file.
