so what happens if you have a student who naturally speaks in their head
voice? I have just such a student. How would speech level singing work on a
person such as this? Even when I have her call out to her mother in the
parking lot (imaginary situation) she barely reaches anything resembling a
chest voice... it's strange. It's a very weak, crackly voice. Not from any
abuse, but she's just a shy girl and has never had to speak much above a
whisper... hmmm... it's a conundrum.
