Good News aranged by Robert Sadin? If it is then yes that is the one
that Kathleen Battle sings and I am so itching to get my hands on
that score! Secondarily for a good soprano/high version of My Lord
What a Morning you want to invesigate a book of Spirituals called the
Moses Hogan Deep River collection. I believe I paid about $20.00 for
it but it's worth it. If you're not familiar with his work pick up
the CD Barbara Hendricks Spirituals. Also another great source for
lesser known sprituals is "THE African American Female Composers
book" published by Hildegard Von Bringen Press, be prepared to pay
about $30.00 for a computer generated cover and yellow card board
like binding but it has the Florence Price My souls been anchored in
the LORD, a lot of Betty King and also some Julia Perry and Undine
Smith Moore, these composers are a rare treat to find in print today!
That was the selling point for me! Good Luck!!!
Hope this Helps,
Monica
