Hi Ingo!
Many of us sing better when we are distracted and not concentrating so hard on "making a perfect tone" or "having perfect technique"... I know for myself, when I work less while singing it comes more easily than when I'm trying to make it happen. I hope you acknowledging yourself on your success!!!
