How about something about nations uniting in peace ? Maybe something
about global respect for humanity ? I'm afraid that my repertoire knowledge
isn't sufficient to come up with anything though.
I heard on BBC Radio 4 that the second half of The Last Night of the Proms
will be changed entirely to cut out any of the patriotic, jingoistic numbers
(Land of Hope and Glory etc..) and replaced by the choral movement from
Beethovens 9th and other more appropriate numbers to the world mood.
I think this musical statement against isolationism is highly appropriate.
