If you like French melodies, then the soprano psalm, "Ah! Si j'avais des
ailes de colombe" from Honegger's ROI DAVID would be ideal for your
programme.
There are also a number of soprano solos in Szymanowski's STABAT MATER (in
Polish).
Michael Tippett's A CHILD OF OUR TIME has two soprano solos: "What have I
done to you?" and "How can I cherish my man?". This is a secular
oratorio.
