The Ibert and other Quichotte songs were specifically composed for Chaliapin (who starred in the film). He was a bass, not a baritone - so my only caveat would be to make sure the songs aren't too low-sitting. I don't think the Ravel songs would be, but the only recordings I have are a private recording by a baritone, and Jose van Dam's recording (he also recording the Ibert cycle), and van Dam bills himself as a "bass baritone" which I consider the late 20th century equivalent of the early 20th/19th century basso cantante.
