>>Maybe the question has been raised before, but what exactly is the origin of the term "Speech level singing" ? Does it relate to the sound level one produces ?
>>Wim Ritzerfeld
Wim,
Speech Level Singing is singing with the larynx in a relaxed position (at speech level) and the vocal cords closing properly. It deals mainly with the bridges of the voice (passaggi) and helps you connect all your chest and head registers into one uniform tone through the mix (no "cracks" or flips").
For more information check the vocalist archives or www.speechlevelsinging.com, www.davestroud.com
Of course I'll be happy to answer any questions.
Best Regards, Rocio Guitard
