The door creak can be done with way more pressure than is necessary. I rarely use this, but when I do, I tell my students to stop if they sound the least bit constipated -- I tell them to find the place where their voices are in the morning when they've had a late night and the alarm has just gone off, and they're saying, "nooooooooooooo, I don't wanna get up..........." and then slide up. Once they have the sound I want from them, I have them reproduce it without these manipulations.
