Go for the music. My best friend had the same dilemma. She had just finished her MBA, had an amazing job travelling all over the world being paid LOADS of money and one day she just said "stuff it". It wasn't what she wanted, she wanted to be singing so she ditched her job, enrolled for the Royal Scottish Academy of Music to do a Masters (she also had the "under 30" dilemma) because she had no other music qualifications except for an amazing voice and now she has never been happier. All of a sudden things are falling into place for her and she also has the time to promote herself and get involved in more musical activities that she couldn't do before.
I, on the otherhand, started off as a concert pianist and ended up as a lawyer (go on - hate me!!!) but now accompany my friend in concerts over here and have also been singing. I would much rather have stayed in music but I wasn't good enough to pay the bills and finally lost the motivation.
GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!! What have you got to lose, you will always have something to fall back on if it doesn't work out!
