I'd like to know if anyone else can relate to this, has gone through it and/or has suggestions for dealing with this.
I had a first rehearsal last night and felt that I wasn't singing with my whole voice. It was late, I was tired, yada, yada, yada, bottom line is the voice I was singing with sounded shallower and lighter than the voice I usually sing with. I have had this happen before due to nerves and this morning I think it might be that I hold my air which shuts down my throat (I'm a dramatic soprano) which causes the sound to go from a full sound to a shallow almost light sound. It's very annoying. Usually I'm fine after another rehearsal, but I wish it didn't happen. Any input???
Thanks, D.S.
