In what language are the arias which are giving you trouble? Are you
preparing them for performance? If you have a coach, s/he should help you
get "off the book" efficiently. If you are studying them on your own,
analyse the structure and write the text out graphically arranged in its
structure. For example, if it is stophic, number each verse, or if it is
binary, A -- B -- A, write it out that way, and make certain you know what
every word and phrase you are singing means. Think of nemonics to help you
as you go over and over the text in your head, first, independent of the
melody, and later with the melody. The nemonics can be English words and
images and they could be related to the situation of the opera. Know the
whole story and integrate the character you are portraying and his utterances
with it.

Just some thoughts. It works for me.
