Dear Lisa,

have you tried:

Darius Milhaud, Catalogue de Fleurs, Opus 60, Editions Durand, piano or
orchestral version by the composer, poems by Lucien Daudet, in 1920:

- Les Fritillaires (C-E)
- Les Jacinthes (C-F)
- Les Crocus (C#-F)

Also you might want to check :

Rose...),
Lili Boulanger (Les Lilas qui avaient fleuri, Deux Ancolies),
Benjamin Britten (Now the leaves are falling fast, Ah Sun-Flower, The
Nightingale and the Rose), Emmanuel Chabrier (Toutes les Fleurs)
Jacques Chailley (Le Jardin de notre soeur Claire)
Ernest Chausson (la Dernière Feuille, Serres Chaudes opus 24, La Fleur des
Eaux, Le Temps des Lilas)

Leo Delibes (Chrysanthème)
Frederick Delius (The Violet, In the Garden of the Seraglio, Black Roses, To
Daffodils)
Edward Elgar (Like to the damask rose)
Cesar Franck (S'il est un charmant gazon, Roses et Papillons, le Mariage des
Roses)

Blancs, Le temps des roses, Passiflora)

Subject: [vocalist] Repertoire

Hi everyone,
I am in the process of putting together some material for a recital that I
hope to do within the first term or two of grad school. It will be called
"Hanging Gardens", and I am looking for music having specifically to do with
flowers and gardens.

I have gone through my Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Faure, and Debussy in my
quest - does anyone have any suggestions of repertoire from other composers
that would fit this theme?

Thanks in advance - you are all always so helpful!

Have a wonderful day!
