normally a funeral home will give you the check right at the funeral. they
often don't have your name, but if someone is organized and makes sure they
get it, they should. (i have had trouble at my bank when they made the check
out to CASH and the bank wouldn't cash it. what idiots. as if a funeral
home director is going to write out a check to himself that said "organist"
in the corner!!)
