I have always thought that "Music When Sweet Voices Die" is a lovely piece for a funeral.

I just got a call from a funeral director asking me to sing at a funeral on Friday. My very first funeral gig (and my first paying gig)! I'm very excited...
Anyway, he said the family didn't really know what song they wanted. They requested something non-religious, he thought perhaps more contemporary, but wasn't really sure. They're a Chinese family, but I don't know any Chinese opera and don't think I can learn it in less than two days! Apparently he suggested to them something from Madama Butterfly, but when I told him I knew an aria from that opera he said he was joking (I also pointed out that Madama Butterfly was Japanese :o). So I'm looking for suggestions. I told him I'd get back to him later this afternoon with some choices he could take to the family.
I'm a full lyric soprano with a fair amount of flexibility (although definitely not a coloratura). I can sing some contemporary stuff, but pop is not what I sound the best doing.
Thanks,
Jennifer
