Subject:  Giving a Masterclass (sort of)

OK, you teachers out there! I need to pick your brains (again).

I have been asked to give a series of masterclasses for two choirs in
Puebla, Mexico later this month. One is a young choir of kids from 7 - 14
years of age. They don't read music, but love to sing and are willing to
learn. I can do that.

The second group, from what I gather, is a more experienced choir of
adults, with several soloists who have performed in public. Here I get
stuck. I have been asked to send a list if topics I will cover in these
three sessions. I want to start with the basics, not knowing how much
they really know.

I don't care how long the list is -- I can always edit later.

This would be so much easier if they sang and I could give a "real"
masterclass. It would also be easier if they gave me more than 1.5 weeks
to prepare. :)

SO -- any suggesstions on stuff to cover?

Thanks soooo much!!

Regards,
