Just be aware of a couple of things: 1. That you may begin to grow in a different direction than your regular teacher has been taking you in and he or she might not like it, even if it is a better sound. 2. It may cause political problems, hurt feelings, resentment, etc. because some voice teachers look upon you as their product and/or possession, and how dare you go to another teacher, etc... ad nauseum. 3. Seeing a different teacher may confuse you, because different teachers say things in different ways, and it may seem to be the opposite of what you do now.
Think about it... it may be worth it if you progress, but will you want to go back to the old teaching if you are progressing somewhere else? Do you want to risk the problems? You have but one voice and it is yours to do with as you like but be aware of these small issues before you decide what to do.
Cheers, Gina
