My teacher would disagree.

It's perfectly possible for sopranos to enunciate clearly on high notes, and
composers do give us words on high Bs and Cs, etc. eg Mimi's high C on "amor"
at the end of Act 1 Boheme. Carlisle Floyd gives Susannah lots of words on
high bflat. I'm sure that there are plenty of other examples.

Everything does not have to become a vocalise above the staff!
