Actually, the "best" search engine is the Meta Engine at Dogpile.com,
which actually searches using about 15 of the most popular search engines.
I've found Google to be good, but also good are NorthernLight.com,
AltaVista.com, HotBot.com, and Yahoo.com. If I'm doing serious searching,
I find I use them all, because they tend to bring up different sites
(along with a lot of overlap, of course). GoTo.com and Looksmart.com are
other options, but I don't like them as much, personally.
