Subject:  "Excerptable" Puccini for mezzos

I've decided the closest Puccini comes to an excerptable aria for mezzo is
La Frugola's paen to her cat in IL TABARRO. There are interjections by
Giorgetta, but I think those can be edited out reasonably successfully,
resulting in a musically not-too-engaging but comically delightful aria
for mezzo.

-----
We're sitting in the opera house;
We're waiting for the curtain to arise
With wonders for our eyes,
A feeling of expectancy,
A certain kind of ecstasy,
Expectancy and ecstasy....Sh's's's.
