but judy, as i understand it the sensations in the chest are misleading and
there really isn't any resonance in the chest, none of great significance,
anyway. and, while huge lung capacity might be useful in playing the tuba
or a low resistance intrument like the flute, there is so little of vocal
music that actually requires a huge amount of breath, instead requiring
excellent breath managment (i know that sentence sucked but you know what i
mean).

compression has nothing to do with size. there is much more
compression in a golf ball than there is in a beach ball.
