given the flexibility of the human voice (the ability to make many
sounds, cover a wider range than one would ever need, speak different
languages, moan, yell, cry, quack like a duck, rich little, etc.), it would
be hard to determine whether the changes, if there are any, would be the
result of the hormones, the changing attitudes of the person taking them or
some combination of the two. a study involving those wanting to make a
change being divided into one group receiving the hormones and one group
receiving a placebo would be necessary as well as a group not wanting to make
a change being given the hormones either knowingly or unknowingly.
