as i tried to picture cherubino being played a male, it occured to me
that i have come to think of that character as a young lesbian and i can't
even tolerate the thought of him (she or it) being played by a male.
whether this notion places me in the group you mentioned parenthetically, i
can't say for sure. i may have to dwell on that thought a bit longer.
