Dear Tako,
I think that ill defined boundaries such as you mention
tend to create fences where there are none. I often agree with your view.
I visualize vocalist as comprised of professionals who tend to dominate
on the basis of their qualifications thus leaving lesser individuals
feeling somewhat inadequate.
The problem is clearly the boundaries and how they are
perceived by each person. Confidence is an elusive commodity amongst
us tenors so we tend to be easily deflated by the knowledgeable and more
forceful. : )
As I was saying to mike, a two finger typist like myself
cannot hope to type his thoughts in a lucid stream especially under
pressure and I feel this may also keep some contributors at bay.

It's unfortunate that listers should feel confined by
images of being chastised for wasting the lists time when an
exchange of ideas always requires that parties alternately be
patiently listening or speaking, as distinct from eves -dropping.

The only solution I can offer is to ignore much of
the negative comment and cruise on in defence of your right to
be heard, after -all, it's a great list of people.

Regards Reg.
