Here's my 2 cents' worth:

Your posting has been such a gift to me and, I'm sure, to many on this
list--for your courage to bare your soul and your feelings, and for
eliciting all the great responses from other listers.

Also, please remember that, in life--singing, computer jobs,
whatever--when there's one job or role or prize to win, only one can win
it, and that doesn't mean the others are losers. Whenever I've lost
something I've noticed it's turned out to be a greater learning experience
and has catapulted me to the next level with far more speed than if I had
gotten the 'trophy'. It's possible that losing this role will turn out to
be the greatest gift you could have hoped for!
