How about Bernstein's "I hate music" -- a cycle of five kid songs for mezzo or soprano. (Premiered by a mezzo but are comfy for many sopranos.) This sort of combines the two themes above...
And your other idea is a good one, too. Songs making gentle fun of singing life are always successful -- you can include "A word on my ear" (Flanders & Swann, about a soprano who is tone deaf) and "Vocal modesty" (Thomas Pasatieri: "I just love my voice, I adore it...").
