Dear Listers,

There is an opportunity this coming Sunday afternoon to support a worthy opera organization and hear some great singing. The Festival Opera is having its annual Gala fund raiser concert. Last year was a tribute to Maria Lanza and was a sold out success. This year the concert will feature
popular operatic selections and Broadway favorites.

Singers wil include Noelle Richardson, Festival Opera's 1999 "Lucia" who thrilled us all with her singing as well as her "fashion model" physical beauty. She was invited to sing the role last fall at S.F.O. Richard Nickol, F.O.'s Cavaradossi, Canio and Alfredo, will sing both operatic and
Broadway selections. Jessica Tivens, the teen-age sensation who debuted Cherubino, will also be featured. Tami Dahbura will be featured in Broadway rep, and John Minagro will sing both operatic and popular numbers. The full orchestra will be conducted by Michael Morgan. The Festival Opera
Chorus and
the Sonos Handbell Ensemble, both prepared by James Meredith, will round out the program.

All this will take place in the beautiful Hofmann Theatre at the Regional Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek. 3;00, Sunday afternoon. 925 943-SHOW. $40, $65. If you are inclined to further support the company and shmooze with the cast, there will be a reception following the performance in
the Bedford Gallery. $30 (925 944 - 9610).

See you there?
