Hi...It's just me again w/ another newbie question:
I have sent an audition tape in response to a call for a "female singer to record a concept album of a new show." (musical theater)
After I sent it, I got to thinking, What if they call? Since I've never actually done anything like this, I'm not quite sure how to handle negotiations. Are there even negotiations for things like this? I would do it for the experience only, but I don't want to tell them that :).
I assume they'll have a standard contract, but the Company is a local one so it is possible that they won't. What types of things should I make sure are included? Is pay typically handled by session, or by hour and how much per?
At any rate, if any of you have been through this kind of thing before, I would appreciate any information you gleaned from your experience that you think might be helpful.
I know I'm jumping the gun in a big way, but I would feel much more confident knowing this kind of information ahead of time.
Thanks for your assistance... again!
Deborah
