Oh puh-leeeze! 7 octaves. If she can sing seven octaves, she can sing
virtually every note on the piano. She likely has a larger than average
range - but who really cares? If I've said it once, I've said it a million
times. AN AMAZING RANGE DOES NOT EQUAL AMAZING SKILL.

There are some wonderful, amazing, truly gifted singers who have a limited
range but have glorious use of the notes within that range. And, there are
some other singers with impressive ranges who can't hold a candle to others
in terms of qaulity singing. I have a pretty decent range, but have never
been asked my range except by other singers who are simply curious. Even in
auditions when range is being tested I have never been taken to the extreme
of my range in either direction - it simply doesn't matter as long as one
has a mastery of the range of notes one needs to sing for any given part or
role.
