After years of study and professional singing, I finally took yoga classes, and was delighted to discover the breathing was identical to what I had been doing for years! Except in singing, it is what I call "applied" yoga breathing. That being the steady inward pressure to support the air column.
These classes also were the first time I was ever able to experience my "chi" as it were. Not even in karate did I feel this. Unbelievable inner energy!
Continue with your yoga, it will help and support you immensely!
