I was on Prilosec earlier this year for about 2 months. I found that I needed to be on an additional antacid to combat the side-effect of nausea and stomach pain which caused me to go on Prilosec in the first place! At the end of the two months I was bloated and miserable.
I agree with Dr. John: try to change your diet. Afterobserving the onset of symptoms, consulting a nutritionist, and doing additional research, I quit eating meat. That was the solution for me, it may not be for you. I have not taken Prilosec since May, and have not had any further digestive problems.
Try to find a good nutritionist in your area. It's worth it!
