I'm reminded of the story told of Rossini. It seems that during his time in Paris, a famous critic died penniless and composers were asked to contribute money so he could receive a proper burial.

When Rossini was asked to contribute, he asked, "How much are you requesting?" The reply was "One Louis d'or, maestro." Rossini retorted, "Here are two Louis d'or. Bury two critics."

Se non e vero, e ben trovato.
