Greetings, all!

One of our listers recently mentioned the positive effects of echinacea =
tea on a sore throat. I am curious if anyone has experience with other =
herbal teas and their effect on the voice. Have you found any to be =
particularly beneficial? Conversely, are there any out there that =
singers need to avoid?

Thanks!
Rachel

First thing-- best thing you can do for your voice is drink WATER and lots
of it! IF you want an herbal tea you might try these:
Traditional Medicinals- Herbal Tussin Tea, Gypsy Cold Care, and Throat Coat.
These three are excellent natural teas that will help you if you're out with
a cold/flu/sinuses/whatever.
Avoid carbonated/sweetened/caffeinated/chemical-artificial beverages at all
costs.
And finally: If you are really really sick-- then you probably shouldn't be
singing. Remember- you only have 1 voice. Treat it well so that it will last
for years to come!
