WAV files tend to be quite large - approx 10Mb per minute.
MP3 at 128Kb/s brings it down to about 1Mb per minute, and then
you can get the file smaller by going for an even lower fidelity
recording. Obviously, the more compression, the lower the quality
of the final product.

If you have a recording that you really want some of us to hear, why
not set yourself up free of charge at www.mp3.com or one of the
other similar web sites? You can convert your .wav file to MP3 and
upload it to the web and then invite us to visit your web page to
have a listen to your MP3. You don't have to have anything fancy at
all to upload it to www.mp3.com, but it does have to be original
mind you.

Another option might be www.besonic.com - they allow you to
upload songs which you do not have general release rights for
as long as you click on the options which will mean that your song
is only available to Scouts etc who you first give a password to
"Demo material that should not, or may not be distributed
can be protected with a password. Selected individuals
may access your material only after you have given them
this password."
