While on the topic of the unseen...with the naked eye at least. Did anyone see a presentation on PBS about those microscopic critters with legs called mites (dust mites and other parasitic creatures) that inhabit our daily lives? I saw the program in the late evening hours - I don't think the producers at WTTW wanted to show this particular science show for the family hour... ...it was pretty descriptive and gross! The microscopic camera didn't lie...in this case.
To encapsulate - these arachnids feast on our dead skin & hair; thing is, they're supposed to keep us clean! They reside in our beds, under our beds, in our closets, in our dressers, in our clothes! And those beautiful people in their minks won't feel so beautiful when they find out they're a walking, 5 ***** hotel, with room service inclusive for a particular hair & fiber munching mite!
Is this what a shark is supposed to feel like when those parasitic fish tag along these eating machines feasting on "food particles"? All I can say is: yeeeaaacccchhhhh!!!
