I'd like to make this group aware of a unique opportunity in the area of voice. The Summer Vocology Institute will be launched in summer 2000 in Denver, Colorado. Briefly, this distance learning program will offer an intensive means for participants to take vocology courses taught in the graduate program at The University of Iowa.
We believe the SVI will appeal primarily to two groups: 1) students enrolled in graduate programs that offer limited voice coursework; and 2) those who have already earned professional degrees, but would like to add vocology to their knowledge bases. Participants may elect to receive up to nine graduate credits from Iowa or CEU's.
Dr. Ingo Titze will direct the SVI. A faculty roster including voice scientists, singing teachers, acting coaches and speech-language pathologists will join him. A full description of the program can be found at the website of the National Center for Voice and Speech (http://www.ncvs.org).
Of course, please feel free to e-mail me personally if you have questions.
