I am a keen amateur soloist aged forty and a consistant comment about my singing is that it could be louder. My teacher thinks my voice is an average size and so do I, but when I try to sing louder my voice tires and I am not happy with the sound I am making. Another problem is that I loose too
much breath when singing loudly.

I do notice that when I am singing a lot (when close to a performance) the volume comes more easily, so maybe it's a case of more frequent practise required.

I have a long term association with my teacher that I benefit from enormously but I understand this was also a problem for him so I suspect it could be beneficial for us to get outside help here.

Any comments and suggestions would be very welcome from any of you out there who could spare the time.
