I believe what she means by personalization is a personal recommendation -
ie: coming from an agent or a respected colleague of the record exec.
Unsolicited tapes from unknown artists usually get "filed" (put in the trash
can). Still the best thing you can do is just sing - anytime and everytime
you can.
