That's rather harsh. Charlotte Church, while blessed with a wonderful basic instrument, has some serious potential problems developing, including major jaw and tongue tension. Do you think that pointing out these problems to our students represents some kind of sour grapes on the part of a teacher, and is not instead a way of recognizing both the talent and the flaws of an artist in a responsible manner? And what, to you, is a more "washed-up" singer? Someone at the peak of his/her career instead of at the beginning? Someone who is using their voice in a correct, vocally healthy way that will guarantee their career longevity if not worldwide fame? Perhaps a post with less sarcasm and more specific constructive advice might not elicit this kind of a response...
