I know of two, involving choral singing, both in New England:

Berkshire Choral Festival

Western Wind A Capella Workshops

I've been to Berkshire Choral Festival, and think it's terrific. The 2000 brochure is
out, even though they haven't yet updated the web site, so an e-mail should get you all
the info you need.

Someone I know (who's been a member of Vocalist) has been to the Western Wind Workshop,
and couldn't stop raving about it. I believe she wrote to the list about her experiences
upon her return, so a search of the archives should turn it up.

And if you're up for a very demanding, professional-level (though not limited to pros),
2-week opera workshop, the Crittenden Opera Workshop, which is held in the summer in DC
and Boston, would be worth looking into. Again, it's been written of in that past, so a
search of the archives, should turn up more info.
