I am only 15 years old and I have sang infront of hundreds of people
multiple
times, so I know what it's like to be scared. I can't tell you what will
work for you, but this is what I do. I pretend I'm someplace else - like
when I'm at home practicing dreaming of the day that I'll do a fabulous
performance. Then I just pretend that I am a famous singer like I dream of
being, that I've done this millions of times before. Singing is just like
acting really. You take on a completely different role when you're on
stage.
There's no reason to be embarrased because you're not the same person you
are when you're not singing. But most importantly, remember that nothing
bad
is going to happen, even if you mess up. Most people will just think you've

got a lot of guts for singing in the first place, and they won't care even
if
you make a mistake.
