Interestingly enough, and probably not surprising to any of us, there are a great number of people in the arts with histrionic and narcissistic tendencies. (Not necessarily to the degree of an actual personality disorder, but tendencies none the less.)
For artists, I like to paraphrase the genie in Disney's "Aladin";
Great, big, enormous ego, Little bitty self-esteem.
(Look at me!!! Look at me!!!! *was that all right?*)
And yes, I would definately have to classify myself this way. *sigh* I guess there's a little diva in all of us.
