I work in the Music Education Software Industry and am a professional
singer. There are several good programs out there. The newest and the
best one out there for Windows is called SIBELIUS
SIBELIUS is not a cheap program but very much worth the investment and I
believe comes with scanning software. I believe this product is both in
Mac/Win. For demo's and more info on this product you can visit their

There is also another good product for Nightingale published by Musicware
Inc. It also has scanning software and is a bit cheaper than Sibelius.
