Hello:) I just joined the list yesterday and it is full of tons of
information! This is great! I was wondering if anyone could tell
me about some vocal instructors in the Portland, OR / Vancouver, WA
area or somewhere nearby?

I am currently in a local cover group and am pursuing a serious
career in music. My goal is to eventually perform with an original
pop/alternative/rock group but I really feel I need voice lessons
to learn proper technique, voice control and breathing so I don't
hurt myself or my vocal chords.

I have heard that taking Opera lessons can be a great help here...
any suggestions or possible voice instructor recommendations that
may be nearby or at least in Washington or Oregon?

I am also very interested in any good audio and/or video courses
regarding singing and/or voice technique and exercises...
any recommendations???

Please help! I need to get started on this as soon as possible.
