Dr. Messmer, thank you for alerting us to this fact (see below). It explains why all of a sudden there are commercials on television to "see your doctor" about this problem. Personally, I thought the ads were a ploy by pharmaceutical companies trying to sell their product.
I had the upper GI scope done a year ago, along with stretching of the esophagus, and fortunately they didn't "find" anything. I still have difficult with swallowing, sometimes think I'm going to choke.
I also still get the reflux. I suppose I should mention this to my doctor. W/regards to the cancer, other than reflux, what should we be watching for?
