Hi, I just joined this list a couple days ago and I never introduced myself,
my name is Renee and I'm 16 years old, a junior in high school, and I live
in New Hampshire. I've been trained in opera, stage voice (Broadway) and
pop, and I also write songs, mostly pop type stuff.

The main reason I'm writing today is to ask if anyone has tips on singing
blues and jazz. I've never taken a lesson in either style. I need to learn
how quick, because I just found out yesterday that there is this jazz/blues
group coming to my town, and they asked the coordinator to find a high
school girl to sing with them for this concert (I guess they like to use
local talent, and they picked me out of all the girls in the city! Yay!).
And I start with them on Wednesday, but I have no CLUE what I'm doing. So
if anyone has any tips, PLEASE help me, I'd be eternally indebted.
