Hey there friends,

Busy schedule kept me these past few weeks. I think Axwell and Laurie took
care of the pertinent info on the above. So I won't bore you with
redundencies. I would just like to add that I have taught some high
coloraturas who warm up to Bb(7) or C(7) and can also sing C(3) albeit with
very little power in either extremes, I presently teach a contralto who
sings G(2) (Baritone low G) to G6 (5th above Soprano High C). Those are
somewhat rare, though I've come across a few. In both of these cases, we are
speaking about 4 octaves.

In the case of the lister who suggested 7-octaves, I'm sorry to burst your
bubble, but you'll have to go to Never never land or Flawson Paradise (sp?)
as in the movie Fifth Element to find a seven-octave singer. Even the blue
Diva in Fifth element did not display such range. If you find the genetic
mutant who has 7-octaves, I would be very interested in a vivisection or at
least a stroboscopy to see that amazing mechanism up close. (Just a little
harmless sarcasm, there). Cheers all,

JRL.
