Wow!! Where did that one come from?

I'd posit that deep voiced women come in many forms,
colors, shapes & cultures. Take our own:
Bette Davis, Tallulah Bankhead, Lauren Bacall
& Kathleen Russell. Though they're not singers
per se...I wouldn't say that they were standng up
to macho attitudes. It's just their style, their characteristic.

As for other latin deep voiced women: Gloria Estefan,
Lucha Villa, and just about any woman that sings in
front of a Mariachi orchestra!

Sorry - if I misconstrued your observation as a verbal
grenade.
