Ok, here's my off-beat suggestion... If he has a sense of humor, check out this auction on EBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=231788022 It's an autographed photgraph of Luciano Pavarotti and it's kind of goofy looking - he's wearing some kind of fru-fru costume, smiling really big and beating a huge drum. This would be a good one to frame and hang to remind us all to smile and not take ourselves so seriously. That message would be the best gift ever for a young singer.
ps: The auction is over in 11 hours so move fast if it's up your alley - I think it's about 25$. There are no bids at the moment, though, and usually you can contact a seller who failed to sell an item and work out a deal afterwards, if you miss it during the actual auction, as long as no one bids.
