Oh, I did, believe me. However, my mother said that while SHE knew that my
singing was worth more than that (yeah, right - she's still amazed that people take voice lessons from me!), my cousins might not. I told her that my cousins' perception was not my problem.
I had to laugh (while shaking my head ruefully), speaking of perceptions. My mother was telling her neighbor that I'm teaching voice privately. My neighbor said, "Don't you need some kind of training for that?" Let's see, BM in Music Ed, MM in voice performance - hmmm, 20 years of performing professionally ... hmmm, what have I forgotten?
